Join us on May 16th for the next in the series of Bristol FinTech events, this time presenting new research on customer inertia in financial services.
Registration: 4:30 pm – 5.00 pm
5.00 pm – Introduction
5:05 – 6:35 pm
In association with True Digital, we explore why, despite a flood of exciting new propositions, customer inertia persists – and what companies can do to combat it.
Fiona Weller, Creative Partner at True, will cover how the research examined in depth 3 key challenges for fintech adoption:
- The loss of human contact
- Uncertainty about Artificial Intelligence
- Concerns over data and privacy
Following the Research Debrief, she will be joined by a panel of experts, including Laura Smart from the FCA, Alfie Ruffell, founder of TRAC and Natalie Horne, founder of Prime Decision.
6:35 – 6:40 pm Closing remarks
6:40 – 7.30 pm Drinks and networking
Laura is a Behavioural Scientist at the FCA Behavioural Economics and Data Science Unit and leads the applied Behavioural Insights in Practice Programme. Research interests include group decisions, consumer protection and crime prevention. She will talk about the data science behind some of the new money management tools that fintech has brought and what the FCA has learned in their tests and trials.
Alfie is a fintech entrepreneur on a mission: he is determined to transform lives and improve the financial literacy of 18 to 30-year olds. He will share his personal experience of debt and how it inspired him to create a financial awareness training programme for young people who are not creditworthy. This is a world exclusive for Bristol – Alfie is speaking publicly about TRAC for the first time.
Natalie is the founder of behaviour change consultancy Prime Decision. She draws on seven years’ experience of applying behavioural economics to business – across digital marketing, CX, HR and Operations.
